VFR is an Affiliate of Atheist Alliance International.

The Virginia Freethought Renaissance's principal activity is to educate the public on matters related to a non-theist life-stance and to promote the Constitutional principle of separation of church and state, and to unite Virginia freethinkers into a single coalition to participate jointly for communicative purposes. This non-profit organization offers an alternative to theistic thinking by advocating a secularist neologism.
The Virginia Freethought Renaissance is organized to serve as a centralized forum in which free-thinkers can meet, socialize, and exchange ideas. To this end, VFR provides Associate Member communications, and information about literature, speakers, meetings/debates, and social events.
